Yowamushi Pedal is a series of manga written and illustrated by Japanese Wataru Watanabe. The television series premiered on October 7, 2013. The episodes of the series are broadcast simultaneously with subtitles in English, Spanish and Portuguese by Crunchyroll under the name of "Yowapeda" for the people of the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, South Africa, Central America and South America.

The first season of the anime explains how Onoda Sakamichi engage in the sport of bicycle racing and how to participate in the Intercollegiate career during his first year of high school.
