Fushigi Yuugi-The Mysterious Play

The series specifies the different trials that teenagers Miaka and Yui face.

While at the library one day, Miaka and Yui attain into the impact with a strange book there, familiar as the Universe of the Four Gods. Pursuant to reading this book, they are then conveyed into the novel's universe. Feeling deceived, the two resist one another as priestesses, carrying together their own corresponding warriors and competing for the chance to be granted three wishes by the gods whom they wish to summon.

Miaka Yuuki
She is a junior high school student, at first chooses to suit the Priestess of Suzaku in instruction to use one of the desires she will take in when she summons Suzaku. She falls in love with Tamahome, which grows into a driving ambition for Miaka to collect the seven Celestial Warriors of Suzaku and send for the god.

Tamahome
He is the first for the seven Celestial Warriors of Suzaku, whom Miaka connects, nears into the tale when he rescues Miaka and Yui from slave-traders. He shows himself to be an honest young man who is ready to surrender himself for the cause of others and reluctant to back down from enemies.

Hotohori
He is the fourth Emperor of Kōnan and one of the Celestial Warriors of Suzaku. He can summon a sword; as such he is a dominant swordsman and has been moreover, trained in martial arts since childhood. Upon gathering Miaka, he falls in love with her and comes to be willing to do anything for her sake.

Nuriko
She/he can possess a superhuman strength and is later granted a pair of bracelets that transform into strength-increasing armbands by Taiitsukun. Nuriko is extremely calm and merciful and shows the most worry concerning Miaka and Tamahome's relationship.

Chichiri
He firmly dresses a smile on his face, although he later charged for his face as a mask with points he can move on reflex in order to make it look like a natural face. His true face duplicates his mask, hold that one eye has been scarred by a wound across his forehead.

Tasuki
His principal weapon is a flame throwing Tessen, an iron fan used for fighting, which is ultimately advanced to suit a diamond fan who might only be used by Taitsukun. Moreover, he is trained in judo, archery, swordsmanship, and is quickly able to using Ofuda.

Mitsukake

Yui Hongo
She is a bright and mature girl. She is a tenth grade student and Miaka Yuuki's best friend. An eager person at heart, she inclines to see the world in black and white terms and is easily angered with sensed treason.

Nakago
He is thought over to be the leader of the Seiryū warriors and both unmerciful and charismatic. He takes out those who helpfulness to him is exhausted and skillfully controls others into doing as he wants.
