Also known as Yuki, is a 14 year old, which is a rather quiet boy that does not talk much. He particularly sees things around him, as a spectator and writes in his diary of cellphone. Yuki is involved in the daily game, when to their surprise that Deus, a god-like being who he thought was an imaginary friend turns out to be real, selected as one of twelve contestants in a battle where you must kill each other with their special day in which the last survivor becomes Deus new heir.
Yuno Gasai
The female lead and the second user journal. Smart, beautiful and diligent, for most students is seen as a model student, but in reality, she is secretly obsessed with Yuki and constantly lurks.
Minene Uryu
Her diary is poor when only some circumstances in which the odds are too overwhelming to the point that the newspaper will not be able to secure an escape for her.
Aru Akise
She is a young detective who keeps an eye on events on Yukiteru Amano and Gasai yuno. It is also in love with Amano and let him know before he died killed by Yuno.
Tsubaki Kasugano
