From the New World

Shin Sekai Yori is a novel written in Japanese Yusuke Kishi 's 2008 . In 2012 , the novel was adapted into a television series anime by studio A-1 Pictures.

The story is set in Japan 's future a thousand years. Five children, the protagonist Saki, Satoru, Maria, Mamoru, and Shun, were born and raised in a quiet city that can be described as a ' utopia , full of water and greenery. This world is ruled by some people with the "cursed power" or "power of God" of  telekinesis .

After a freak accident, Saki and the others begin to understand the true nature of the place in which they live. Soon, they will discover everything, including the bloody past that has brought mankind to the state in which it is located. The five boys then launch into a dangerous adventure to save himself from a world on the brink of collapse.


From the New World Characters:

Saki Watanabe
Main character of the anime and manga. Psychic and well it manages her telekinesis.

Satoru Asahina
Classmate of Saki and her childhood friend. He is also pretty observant, smart and skillful in using his telekinesis.

Shun Aonuma
He is also classmate of Saki. Skillfully manages his telekinesis.

Maria Akizuki
Childhood friend of Saki and her classmate, also has power of telekinesis, two years later, with the help of learned to fly.

Mamoru Itou
He is very modest and shy guy. Well managed by telekinesis, especially when drawing pictures with it.
