Trigun tells the story of Vash the Stampede, the Humanoid Typhoon and a lone gunslinger with an insanely high bounty on his head who leaves a trail of destruction in his wake. Meryl Strife and Milly Thompson, two employees of an insurance company, seek out Vash in an attempt to prevent him from causing any more damage. When they find him, they learn that Vash isn’t the man they thought he was end up joining him on his journey.

Vash the Stampede
He chooses to remain hopeful and loving toward humanity, where as Knives has fallen into a deep-seated hatred of their race. Their personalities also have other key differences: Vash cannot stand the despair of being alone, whereas Knives revels in his loneliness and has no desire for any company other than Vash. He is the man whose head has been declared a 60 billion double award dollar. They say that in whatever city he had not happened, the city is in ruins. The only strange thing, no one is killed.
Meryl Stryfe
She works at Bernardelli Insurance company. Along with Milly Thompson, she gets the assignment to find Vash and continues to follow him to exclude or at least minimize the yield to them.
Milly Thompson
She is also working in the insurance company Bernardelli and sent along with it to find Vash. She is the high-growth, and physical force does not give any gyromele. She appears rather simple, but has a kind heart and also reveals a strength of character and genuine optimism.
Nicholas D. Wolfwood
He is a mysterious wandering priest. He around with a huge cross, consisting of a machine-gun rack for six pairs of pistols and a grenade launcher. Quickly becoming a friend of Vash and often comes to him for help, but it has its own purpose.
Legato Bluesummers
He is a charming madman with self-destructive. He is simply a sadistic nihilist who is determined to torment Vash and aid Knives in his quest to eradicate humanity.
Millions Knives
He is one of the few fully sentient Plants and the twin brother of Vash The Stampede. He understands his origins and powers better than his brother Vash, and as a result he knows how to tap into his powers and create weapons such as the Angel Arms.
