In the future, personal computers have advanced into "Persocons", mobile computers that look like human beings. Hideki Motosuwa, a prep school student, seriously wants to buy a Persocon but cannot afford to.
One day he finds a Persocon that has been thrown away and decides to keep it. When he turns on the Persocon, all she can say is "Chii" so he decides to name her that. After a while, it starts to become apparent that Chii is more than an average Persocon. Having much better performance, it seems that Chii might be a " Chobit," a type of advanced Persocon rumored to have independent thought.Chobits Characters:
Hideki Motosuwa
He is a genuinely kind and honest person, whose habit of thinking of others' well-being before his own can cause many problems. He moves to Tokyo from the provinces, where previously lived with his parents on the farm. During the day of Hideki learns from training courses to try again to go to college. In the evening working in a Japanese pub, and he provides himself with money.
Chii
She is a Persocon that looks like a young girl of small stature with white and pink "ears" that hide the technological connectors and cables to connect to external devices. She is natural and normally entertaining, but any mention of human-person in her presence apparent to those around her depressing. Hideki finds her attractive, striving with her when in her presence to him come vulgar thoughts. Having a manner transparent to themselves pronounce their reasoning out loud, or otherwise demonstrating a predictable reaction to Yumi, Hideki often falls into an awkward position.
Yuzuki
She was created to resemble, physically and mentally, Minoru's late sister. She is also a Persocon; a computer of the 22nd century future that can do all the things you want it to.
