Nobunaga The Fool is basis of the Japanese play, a part of the franchise, "The Fool". The play combines the elements of the game real actors and animated characters created by studio Satelight, first production was held December 8, 2013. The anime series also created Satelight, its broadcast began on January 6, 2014.
This is a tale of a time when space was known as chaos. East and West, two divided stars united by the Amanohashidate once created by ancient civilization. But one day their civilizations perished, and each star began to carve its own unique history. Time marched on, for many years.On the West Star, a Renaissance saw the revival of the lost technology and culture of the ancient civilization, bringing about an age of warfare. Before long those flames begin to spread to the East.
As both stars are thrown into chaos, a woman from the West Star, Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc, receives a revelation showing her the birth of a “Savior” that will rescue their world. Together with Leonardo Da Vinci, the man who observes the world, the two set foot for the East Star.
Meanwhile, “The Fool” of the East, Oda Nobunaga is yearning for the power to change the world as countless heroes wage war competing for domination.
Then, as if guided by the divided world, Nobunaga and Jeanne share their fateful meeting. The scientific innovations brought about through the blending of East and West will lead to a great revolution…

Oda Nobunaga
Successor to the small kingdom of Owari on the East Star. He's often called “The Fool” due to his wild and unconventional way of life, but he possess the ability to see the true nature of things. After his encounter with Jeanne, he becomes a man who brings revolution to the way wars for domination are fought.
Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc
A girl from Domremy Village on West Star. She's awakened to her power, “Revelations”, the ability to see mysterious visions. People have misunderstood her power as something that bring misfortune, but she gains foresight of a “Savior” who will appear to save their world. In order to carve her own destiny, she pays a visit to East Star.
Akechi Mitsuhide
A strategist employed by the Oda Clan. He's the type to advance all affairs in calculated secrecy. As Owari faces invasion from other countries, he continues to support them with his excellent strategies. Though his personality is the mirror opposite of Nobunaga's, they are sworn comrades regardless of their positions or age.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi
Vassal to the Oda Clan. He has a bright personality and able to warm up to just about anyone, but he also loves women. Her shares a strong, brotherly bond with Nobunaga and Mitsuhide. He also loves anything new, and shows an exceptional sense when it comes to operating machines and other devices.
Leonardo da Vinci
An artist and a scientist from West Star. One of the central figures of the Rennaissance, a movement to revive the legacy of ancient civilizations. He's never swayed by values such as wealth or honor, acting only upon his own curiosity. D'Arc's revelations piqued his interest, and he follows her lead to the East Star.
Himiko
The queen of Yamato, she holds a longtime crush for Nobunaga and entrusts him her regalia in exchange of becoming his bride. She later stands in harm's way to save Nobunaga from an assassin sent to kill him, although she manages to survive.
