Literally "Heaven-Piercing Gurren Lagann", is a series of anime, created by Hiroyuki Imaishi in anime studio, Gainax (also creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion ), along Aniplex and Konami. The series has also been implemented as a manga and adapted for a video game.
The series takes place in the distant future and tells the story of a group of mecha -warriors who want to make the earth habitable again and fight against tyrants and enemies of life on Earth.
World
In the distant future, people live underground because they believe that the earth is uninhabitable or no longer exists. In many caves and underground tunnels they dig for new larger habitat. In this world everything is determined by the effect of anti-spirals and spirals.
Spirals are circular, linear forms of energy, who hold all the living things and can be steered by fighting spirit.
