The Ambition of Oda Nobuna is an anime from the light novel series written by Kasuga Mikage and illustrated by Miyama-Zero. It has been adapted to television series which premiere last July 9, 2012.
Yoshiharu Sagaru, a college student passionate about video game's feudal Japan, especially games Nobunaga's Ambition, finds himself suddenly in the Sengoku era in battle. He is saved by a man who would later become Toyotomi Hideyoshi, but at the cost of the life of the latter.
These events have completely changed history; Yoshiharu will try to put things in order. However, the story follows a course different from what he has learned. Nobunaga Oda is now a bright girl, but the young are not named Oda Nobunaga but Nobuna. Yoshiharu (which takes the place of Toyotomi Hideyoshi) began working under the command of Nobuna, which gives nicknames as saru (Monkey), to bring history to its proper course and find a way to return to his time.

The central male character. Modern teenager who falls into an alternate version of Sengoku period, where some of the famous generals era woman. Using his knowledge of the video game, Nobunaga's Ambition, Yosiharu helps Nobuni in its quest to unite and conquer Japan. Also known by the nickname "Monkey".
Nobuna Oda
She is a brilliant and ambitious teenage girl who plans to conquer and unite Japan to make it a strong nation at Europeans. Fond of foreign culture and objects, their influence inspires Nobunu.
Katsuie Shibata
She wears a steel breastplate armor, which is formed around her chest, causing anger on those who see it.
Nagahide Niwa
Her is nickname Manchiyo, serves as the Oda fraction tactician. She likes to tease others.
Mitsuhide Akechi
She is a brilliant Saito clan tactician.
Goemon Hachisuka
She is a ninja who stutters when she is required to speak extensively.
Inuchiyo Maeda
She is a young girl and one of the best copies lords of the Oda faction.
