"Another" is a novel in 2009 that was written by the author Yukito Ayatsuji. The novel has been adapted into a manga, an anime and a live-action film.
Because of its father's work to India, the 15-year-old Koichi Sakakibara moves in with his grandparents and his Aunt Reiko. While at the Middle School Yomiyama, he joins the class 9-C, which occurs something strange from the beginning.
The class is from all others within the school as much as possible in isolation. Koichi noticed a classmate with an eye patch, Mei Misaki, but his classmates react as if there were not when he asks someone for her.
Koichi soon learns that the class is cursed, for 26 years before a student named Misaki died. Since then, every year after the class a chromosomal deceased person, the "Other" ( Another), whose presence is the reason that students in this class come monthly or their close relatives died in strange circumstances.

Yuya Mochizuki
Classmate and member of the Art Club. Koichi helps to unravel the mystery of the calamity of class 3-3. It seems to have a crush on Miss Mikami, often asking about his health.
Izumi Akazawa
Classmate and friend of Yukari Sakuragi. Head of countermeasures, studies and defends the class looking for ways to deal with and stop the disaster.
Yukari Sakuragi
Classmate and representative. Dies stumbling up the stairs and impaling the tip of her umbrella, just after the notification of an accident of her mother.
