Hidamari Sketch is a anime manga 4koma created by Ume Aoki about the daily lives of a group of girls living in a small apartment where they demonstrate their artistic skills.
Hidamari Sketch centers on a young girl named Yuno who is finally accepted into a Yamabuki Middle School. To get to school, Yuno moves into a small apartment building called Hidamari Apartments, near the school. She starts making new friends like her classmate Miyako and the second year students, Hiro and Sae.
There is no specific plot in the story, but recounts the events of everyday life of the characters as they go to school and try to know each other better, sharing all his taste for art.

Yuno
Yuno, sometimes called "Yunocchi" by Miyako, is a naughty girl and the main protagonist of the story. She lives in the Hidamari apartments, along with her friends and neighbors Miyako, Hiro and Sae.
Miyako
She is Yuno close friend, her partner and neighbor in the next room in the apartments where they live. Yuno refers to her as Miya-chan. She has an active personality and always tries to have fun with her friends.
Hiro
She is a year older than Yuno and Miyako, and lives directly below the apartment Yuno. While trying to be a partner of the girls bearable, she tends to worry excessively about their weight, causing her to go on diets for periods while eating sweets
Sae
She is a girl from a higher course, and good friends with Hiro. Her artistic specialties are photography and writing fiction, the latter writes under her pseudonym Aya Tachibana and enrolled to school just to learn how to illustrate their work.
