It is an anime based on the videogame Devil Kings developed by Capcom . The series is made by the studio Production IG and consists of 12 chapters. The series' second season, titled Sengoku Basara II, began broadcast in July 2010. On June 4, 2011 in Japan has released the feature film titled Sengoku Basara: The Last Party.
In the Sengoku period , Japan was divided into semi-independent provinces, governed by feudal lords, also called daimyo, who faced an endless struggle for power. Ambitious daimyo all over the archipelago put clear its battle cry. Some were Takeda Shingen of Kai, Sanada Yukimura , Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo, Azai Nagamasa of Omi or Tokugawa Ieyasu of Mikawa, among others.
They were days of war and chaos. As war spread throughout the country, the map of power underwent change very fast and drastic. In this conflict without end, one man finally seemed to be establishing full control over the country. He was the lord of Owari, the Sixth Devil King Divine. His name was Oda Nobunaga . But now, a young man dressed in blue usually makes its appearance in the confused scenario, heading a powerful cavalry of the northern provinces. It is known as Date Masamune, the Dragon Eye. Goes in search of Oda Nobunaga's head and the final supremacy.
In Season two, during a battle pitting the three generals confront Masamune, Shingen and Kenshin at Kawanakajima , are interrupted by the arrival of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and his army, which surrounds three sides, I demand an oath of allegiance on the part of the three generals, but obtaining a refusal . Hideyoshi begins his conquest of feudal states that have rifutati to submit.

Date Masamune
