Da Capo was originally a game Japanese, specifically a dating simulator company Circus. Its relative popularity in Japan led to two series of manga and two anime based on it.

The story is set in a fictional island of Japan called Hatsunejima, where the cherry trees are always in bloom. Junichi Asakura attended the Academy and has the power to see other people's dreams while sleeping.
