The story takes place in a famous and mysterious online game called Sword Art Online, where players play with their own lives, so a death in the game amounts to a real death. In this dangerous game, 10,000 people were imprisoned two years ago, where now only 6000 resist. The story goes with Kirito, one of the players to win the game, survive for all 100 floors, or stages of the game.
In the year 2022, virtual reality Massive Multiplayer Online RPG (VRMMORPG) Sword Art Online (SAO) is released. With the gear nerve, a VR helmet that stimulates the five senses user through his brain, players can try to control his characters in the game with their minds. However, an unexpected event occurs on November 6, 2022, when Akihiko Kayaba, the creator of MMO prevents players from leaving.
