Lycra Catsuits

Lycra® is the trade name for spandex produced since 2004 by Invista (introduced in 1958 by DuPont ). It is  a synthetic fiber of high elasticity technically known as spandex. It is a fiber widely used in the manufacture of trousers, swimsuits or swimwear, belts and bikinis, fitness or gym clothes and social in general. Also there are uses in industry: for example, in the manufacture of gloves for the handling of parts that can not be in contact with the skin of the hands (eg. electronic components or parts with a polished surface, such as faucet).

The first came in 1959 as spandex fibers Fibre K on the market after Joseph Shivers at the American chemical company DuPont developed a method for large-scale production. It was bonded multifilament yarn of polyurethane. From 1962, Fibre K in large quantities under the brand Lycra sold, which is held in Germany since January 28, 2005 by the company Invista.
