Air has been ported to various media. A manga based on the visual novel was published in the Japanese magazine Comptiq by the publisher Kadokawa Shoten, between August 2004 and February 2006 and illustrated by manga artist Yukimaru Katsura.
An anime of thirteen episodes by
Kyoto Animation and aired between January and March 2005. A spin off entitled Air in Summer aired between August and September 2005. While the anime was still in transmission, film Air by Toei Animation premiered in theaters Japanese in February of that year.
