Selector Infected WIXOSS is an anime produced by JCStaff originally aired in Japan in April, 2014. It has been licensed by Funimation for legal transmission. A sequel called Selector Spread WIXOSS was announced in autumn 2014.
WIXOSS is a game of cards very popular, especially among high school students. But few know that LRIG cards actually have life. Only certain girls need a miracle in their lives can hear the voices of the LRIGs, and those who possess are called Selectors .
The selector that can win a number of battles against other WIXOSS may become Eternal Girl and fulfill your wish. In this way Selectors are drawn into the vortex of a dangerous game.
Selector Infected WIXOSS Characters:
Iona Urazoe
She became a famous and popular model that has made various appearances in media such as television. As a model, she is also a promoter of the WIXOSS trading card game, which helped boost its popularity and attracted the attention of many selectors. Iona initially appears to be a quiet, stoic, and cold person, which masks her enthusiasm for Selector battles.
Tama
She was originally a figment of Mayu's imagination and is one of the two original LRIGs along with Iona. She was originally named Shiro and was based on Tamayorihime, New Moon Miko from the WIXOSS trading card game.
Ruuko Kominato
She is the protagonist of the selector infected WIXOSS anime series. he has black hair and dark brown eyes and usually appears in her school uniform and winter clothes, wrapping a red scarf around her neck.
Piruluk
She has a cold personality, often seeming unfazed or uninterested (in stark contrast to her master). Even when Akira threatened to tear her card in half, Piruluk responded with little emotion, perhaps symbolizing her card color's affinity for control.
Yuzuki Kurebayashi
She is the older pair of the twin brother with Kazuki, and wishes to be Kazuki's lover. As a Selector, her LRIG is Hanayo. Later, after becoming an Eternal Girl, Hanayo takes Yuzuki's body, causing Yuzuki to become a LRIG.
Hitoe Uemura
She is a very kind and shy girl. She becomes cold in the later part of Season 1 in order to fulfill her wish to become friends with Yuzuki and Ruko again although she has gotten back her gentle nature when her friends learned that she had regained her memories of their friendship.
Akira Aoi
At first, Akira appears to have a bright, bubbly personality (typical of the archetypical high-school idol). However, she harbors a cruel and sadistic personality that is willing to go to any means to accomplish her "wish." She is one of the antagonist of selector infected WIXOSS series.
