The Fruit of the Grisaia is a visual novel Japanese , the first in a series of visual novel of the Front Wing. The production of an anime television series produced by studio 8-Bit has given the green light and will be broadcast on October 2014.
The story takes place at the Academy Mihama, a closed environment, dedicated to learning, away from outside influences. It follow the daily life of one boy, Kazami Yuuji, freshly transferred and five girls who have their own reason for studying in this place.
The Mihama academy is a school whose students never leave. This golden prison was designed to preserve the outside world, such as a fruit to remain on the tree to mature. Yuuji Kazami is the first boy to enter the gates Mihama. He moved into a house inhabited by five girls home, each with a good reason for joining the academy. The arrival of Yuuji will resurrect the past of these residents and disrupt them like clockwork musical life.

Yumiko Sakaki
She is a second-year student at Mihama Academy. She is the daughter of "East Beach Railway Express Group" tycoon, Michiaki Sakaki. She always carries a box cutter with her and uses it to threaten others, particularly Yuuji, when she gets angry. She reads so many books that she’s called a “Bookworm”, and she especially loves mystery novels.
Yuuji Kazami
Also known as "Ace number 9029", Yuuji is the "janitor" for the underworld, employed by Ichigaya. Growing tired of this life, he desires a normal school life. Cool, philosophical, and minimalist, Yuuji maintains a realistic outlook on life.
Amane Suou
She is the Onee-san type who always takes care of others. She is known to as Makina's "mom." For some circumstances, she skipped one school year at her previous school, so she is actually 2 years older than Yuuji.
Kazuki Kazami
She is Yuuji Kazami's elder sister who disappeared in an accident when Yuuji was ten years old. Despite her delicate and diminutive body, she is really intelligent that she can be called a genius. She is the same age as Amane and both of them went to the same school, “Takizono Private Academy”, and were in the basketball team of the school.
Michiru Matsushima
She is a fake tsundere with bleached blond twin tails. She has a deep interest in tsundere character and tries to act like one. Her silly and energetic personality makes her the moodmaker of the class. Her grades are bad. She always carries with her a shark-shaped pouch which contains lemonade sweets.
Makina Irisu
She is an innocent and carefree girl. For some unexplainable reasons, it’s hard to understand her personality. In general, she can be explained in one word, “Fool”, but sometimes her speech and behavior make people shed cold sweat.
Sachi Komine
She is the maid of Mihama Academy. Except when going to school, taking a bath or swimming, she always wears her maid uniform. She said that everyone told her to wear maid uniform as much as possible.
