Hajime no Ippo-Fighting Spirit

It is a manga created by George Morikawa which tells the beginning and the rise of a young student in the world of boxing professionally.
An adaptation in anime with 76 episodes covering the first 30 volumes of the manga was carried out by Madhouse and broadcast on Nippon Television between October 2000 and March 2002. A second season of 26 episodes called Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger was then posted between January 2009 and 30 June 2009. A third season is scheduled for October 2013.


Ippo Makunouchi is a young and shy 16-year-old schoolboy has no friends because he spends all his free time to help his mother, who is a single mother in the family business rental fishing boats. It is usually a victim of bullying and humiliation by a gang of thugs led by Umezawa, one of his classmates. One day, a professional boxer who witnessed the scene, Mamoru Takamura, saves him from his tormentors and takes Ippo injured Kamogawa boxing club, held by retired boxer Genji Kamogawa, to treat him. Once awakened Ippo, Takamura tries to cheer him up by persuading romp on a sandbag, experience shows in his great punching power and an innate talent for boxing. Discovering a passion for this sport and driven by the desire to become strong, young Ippo decides to become a professional boxer and began training at the club to the highest levels.


Hajime no Ippo Characters:


Ippo Makunouchi
Ippo is a young student, boxer, he helps his mother at work and did not have many friends. His only friend is his dog, Pedro. It is regularly bullied by a gang of thugs until the day boxing champion Takamura Mamoru come to his rescue. Thereafter, Ippo becomes boxer to know what it means to be "strong."


Mamoru Takamura
He is a student who likes to fight and has tremendous strength. Genji Kamogawa

Ichiro Miyata
