Also known under the name of Kamisama Hajimemashita , this is a shoujo written and illustrated by Julietta Suzuki. It is is pre-published in the magazine Hana to Yume the publisher Hakusensha .
The story begins with Momozono Nanami, a girl who has lost his home because of his father's debts and has been abandoned by him.
Being in the park without a home or place to go, it becomes goddess to "save" a young woman who is threatened by a dog, which happens to be the god of the land and granted ownership of the temple to Nanami after been away for 20 years.

Tomoe
He is a fox demon who served Mikage, the god of the earth, after the absence of this for 20 years. Now, he meets Nanami is the new deity.
Mikage
He is the god of the earth leaving Nanami in charge of his post in the temple as a deity. Earthly is a shy guy. It has light hair and glasses, and wears a trench coat and a hat.
Shinjiro Kurama
A popular idol with the image of being a "fallen angel" with gothic makeup and a bad boy attitude. He is a tengu crow who initially wanted to become the god of the earth by eating the heart of Nanami.
Mizuki
He is a snake belonging to the sanctuary of the goddess of water. Nanami fell in love from the first moment he saw her, when she helped him. Has white hair and clear eyes. Nanami is committed and that left a mark on his arm. His companions are demons.
Ami Nekota
She made a promise with Kurama to not tell of anyone about any of the strange occurrences that happen with Nanami (though it was Tomoe in disguise); Ami believes Nanami is a miko, or shrine maiden. Overall, Ami is a naive but bubbly and gentle girl.
