KonoSuba is a series of light novels written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. An adaptation to anime was produced by Studio DEEN and directed by Takaomi Kanasaki being issued between January 13 and the 16 of March of 2016.
While out buying a game, a shut-in named Kazuma Sato mistakes a tractor for a speeding truck and rushes in to push a girl out of the way, dying from acute stress reaction as a result. In the afterlife, Kazuma is greeted by a goddess named Aqua, who offers to transport him to an RPG-like world in order to battle against a Devil King.
Given the option to choose an item or ability to arm himself with, Kazuma, annoyed by Aqua's attitude, decides to drag her along with him to the town of Axel. With Aqua unable to return until the Devil King is defeated, the two earn some money to register as adventurers, with Kazuma assigned to a rather generic Adventurer class while Aqua is assigned as an Archpriest. The two then proceed to spend the following weeks working a carefree life as laborers, before eventually remembering that they need to do some actual adventuring.
And as Aqua will not be able to return in the afterlife until the demon king will not be defeated, the two form a group that will be joined by the magician obsessed with the magic of Megumin explosion and the sacred Knight masochistic Darkness. Surrounded by allies anything but valid, Kazuma will leave soon lose the idea of defeating the enemy, but because of circumstances the four will end the same for running into his generals.

Kazuma Sato
A sixteen-year-old Japanese teenager who became a game-obsessed shut-in after having his heart broken over his childhood friend during middle school. He is sent to the parallel reality after dying from acute stress reaction, forcing Aqua to come with him after she irritates him with her attitude. Kazuma is classed as an Adventurer which, despite being the lowest ranked class, allows him to learn various skills from other classes, albeit at an increased cost.
Aqua
The water goddess who had the task of judging human reincarnate as a world RPG before Kazuma took her away with him. Energetic, naive and short-tempered, he likes to be commended for its status.
As an Archpriest and a goddess, she is powerful against demons and the undead, and is able to resurrect recently deceased people as well as purify water supplies.
Megumin
An arch wizard who is descended from crimson demons; powerful humanoids who possess black hair and red eyes, and sport Chunibyo characteristics. Megumin only knows a single spell, an incredibly powerful Explosion spell that immediately incapacitates her for the rest of the day when cast, and refuses to learn any other skills.
Lalatina Dustiness Ford
A very powerful sacred rider both in attack and in defense, which nevertheless precision flaw. Masochistic without hope, his dream is to be massacred by the monsters or marry an abusive husband.
Eris
A goddess who takes the place of Aqua after he is taken away with him from Kazuma. Equipped with a good heart, it is often embarrassed by Aqua, which is envious of his popularity despite its subject.
Yunyun
Megumin's former classmate and daughter to the crimson demon's chief. She has a normal personality, causing her to be estranged from her chunibyo peers. She is a highly skilled arch wizard and uses a rivalry with Megumin as an excuse to create a friendship. She is one of the main protagonists in the spin-off novels.
