Black Rock Shooter
The OVA is based on the group's eponymous song Supercell, which included the use of vocaloid Hatsune Miku. And its music video created with illustrations by the artist Huke and posted on the site of video sharing Nico Nico Douga.
Black Rock Shooter starts at the beginning of the school year in April. On his first day of school, Mato Kuroi, befriends a girl named Yomi Takanashi, who recently moved to town. Mato, quickly joins the basketball club, which encourages Yomi to join the volleyball club since both clubs are practiced at the same time in the gym.

Black Rock Shooter is not a fanmade character of Miku. She is an original character by huke. The story of the song tells about the character, Black Rock Shooter, having lost something important and tries to search for it, and in the process tells of her struggle with despair and hopelessness. Eventually the character gains hope as she moves on to the future with new found courage.
