Saint Seiya known as Knights of the Zodiac in Spanish, is a manga Saint and then a series of gender shōnen anime originally created by Japanese artist Masami Kurumada. First published in January 1986 in manga format Shonen Jump magazine, subsequently conducted a series adaptation of 114 television episodes, 3 OVA with 31 total episodes, five movies and several continuations of the original manga, thus remaining in force until date.
The plot of the series focuses on the story of a group of young warriors called Saints (or Knights in various translations), who fight to protect the Greek goddess Athena from the forces of evil. To fight, the Saints only use their inner energy (called cosmos), their fists and armor that serve as protection and are also inspired by constellations or beings of Greek mythology and Scandinavian (Asgard).
