Swan Song of the Valkyries: Symphogear is a series of anime produced by Encourage Films and aired on Tokyo MX from January 6, 2012. A second season, Senki Zesshou Symphogear G, will begin airing in July 2013.
The world is threatened by aliens called Noise, which humans disintegrate when touched. Two years before the start of the frame, the members of the duo ZweiWing, formed by Tsubasa and Kanade Kazanari master, fight against invaders (Noise) with the help of their armor known as Symphogear. Protecting Hibiki Tachibana Kanade which develops the same powers.

Hibiki Tachibana
Her Symphogear is Third Relic- Gungnir, which originally belonged to Kanade. However since it is only a fragment, she possesses less armor compared to the original and has no weapons or Arms Gear. She compensates for this by specialising in powerful martial arts, using short bursts of energy to power her punches or launch herself great distances. Whenever she becomes really angry, she sometimes enters a state of frenzy.
Tsubasa Kazanari
Her Symphogear is the First Relic- Ame no Habakiri and her Arms Gear is a long katana. She is also a rather popular pop idol, though she refuses to sing in concerts or accept proposals to release her songs internationally, viewing herself only as a weapon that sings only to fight.
Chris Yukine
Her weapon is a bullet and missile shooter, and her theme color is red. Her first name is foreign, so it does not have a meaning, but her family name means "The sound of the snow".
Miku Kohinata
Her first name means "Future", while her family name means "A small place in the sun". She is Hibiki's best friend, who shares a dorm with her and is often concerned for her safety.
Kanade Amo
Her Symphogear is the Third Relic- Gungnir which is the same as Hibiki's, but has more armor and an Arms Gear which is a lancer. Her theme color is orange. Her first name means "To play (an instrument or song)", while her family name means "Heaven's wings".
