Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun is a romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Izumi Tsubaki. It has been adapted to an anime series by Dogakobo which began airing in July 2014.
The high school student Sakura Chiyo has a crush on his classmate Umetaro Nozaki, but when he confesses his feelings, the boy exchanges it for his fans and makes them an autograph. When Chiyo tells him he wants to stay with him forever, Umetaro misunderstands again, making her come to his house only to put it to the test with some designs.
At first confused, Chiyo discovers fact that Umetaro is a renowned author of shoujo, also known to her under the name of art by Sakiko Yumeno. Well determined to find still a way to get closer to him, she accepts then to become his assistant and, while working on his manga Koi shiyo, the two meet other fellow school assisting them or make a model to the characters in the story.

Umetaro Nozaki
He is the high school student that is the object of Chiyo Sakura's affection. He is a manga artist under the pen name Sakiko Yumeno, the creator of the shoujo manga "Let's Love~".
Chiyo Sakura
Sheis a high school student with a crush on Umetarou Nozaki, and she ends up confessing her feelings to him. She is a bright, cheerful and excitable young girl. She has been shown to be very easily influenced, often letting her imagination go wild. For example, she became excited when Mikoshiba first introduced her to Kashima and hugely misjudged their relationship.
Mikoto Mikoshiba
Also known as Mikorin is one of Nozaki's assistants and Yuu Kashima's best friend and classmate. He attracts the attention of many girls, and is admired by the males as well. However in reality, he has a timid and "tsundere" attitude.
Yuzuki Seo
She is Chiyo's friend. She is popular amongst their classmates, and she is often asked for help on various extracurricular activities. However, her brash personality often makes people feel offended. Nozaki classifies her as "KY", as she cannot read the atmosphere or context. Despite her rude and tomboyish demeanor, she has an angelic singing voice, and she has the nickname of "Choir Club's Lorelei"
Yu Kashima
He is a friend of Mikoto Mikoshiba in the drama club and is in class 2-G. Yuu is quite tall and has a "prince" personality that makes the girls fawn over her. Mikoto and Yuu considered each other rivals in their first year, although Yuu was clearly better in all aspects, but eventually became very good friends.
Masayuki Hori
He is the president of the school drama club. Although he is very good at acting, his short height makes him unqualified for most hero roles and his amazing acting makes him stand out too much for a side character so he works behind the scenes instead. He is known for his violent outbursts at Kashima when she makes inappropriate comments or disrupts the club.
Hirotaka Wakamatsu
He is in class 1-D, and is one of Nozaki's friends from their basketball team in middle school. He joins Nozaki's staff to do tone work. He claims that the only person he cannot stand is Yuzuki Seo, which is somewhat ironic due to the fact he is a fan of the Choir Club's Lorelei, who is actually Seo herself.
