Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou lit. "We Are All From Dormitory Kawai", a play on words that has a double meaning of "We Are All Pitiful", is a manga Ruri Miyahara who began serialization in the June 2010 issue of the magazine Young King OURs of Shōnen Gahōsha. An anime adaptation premiered by Brain's Base on April 3, 2014.
Thanks to the transfer of work of his parents, Kazunari US, just high school, is finally able to get an apartment all to himself in the complex Kawai, a pension which also offers meals to its residents.
Ritsu, the senpai he is in love, she also lives there, as well as some other individual personality "unique": his roommate and masochistic hopeless Shirosaki; the beautiful and quite unlucky in love Mayumi; and finally the cunning and predatory university Sayaka. He is a high school freshman who promised his parents he would live anywhere as long as he can live alone. At first he really didn't really like the idea of living at the Kawai Dormitory, especially with his perverted room mate Shirosaki but when he was introduced to his love at first sight - Ritsu Kawai, where he first saw at his school, he was quite shocked and it was at that time he decided to stay, so that he could know more about her.
Ritsu Kawai
She is a 2nd year high school student who came to live at the Kawai Complex after her mother went abroad to work. Her grandfather is the brother of the manager of the dorm where both Kazunari Usa and her are currently staying at. The manager also considers Ritsu as her relative.
Mayumi Nishikino
A working woman who has terrible luck with men and is always harsh to everyone.
Sayaka Watanabe
She is a college student who is staying at the Kawai Dormitory just like Kazunari Usa. She also loves to get physically intimate with Mayumi Nishikino, such as kissing her or fondling her breasts. Sayaka claims that she loves Mayumi because she is so amusing. However, it is hinted that she may actually have romantic feelings for Mayumi.
Hayashi
She was one of Kazunari Usa's ring master friends as well as one of his classmates back in Junior high. However, she doesn't seem to want anything to do with him anymore from fear of others finding out about her past but later in the story she apologized to him for being mean.
