The game play of Koi to Senkyo Chocolate to follow a narrative line branched, which offers the player several possible carrying events and many end with each of the five female leads. Two adaptations were published manga and a television series.
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate follows the protagonist Yuki Ojima, who attends the Academy Private Takafuji, a great school in which enrolled over 6,000 students. Yuki is a member of the Food Research Club, also known as "Shokken," along with seven other students, including his childhood friend Chisato Sumiyoshi.
However, members of the club spend their time idly without doing almost nothing. When it comes time to elect the new president of the student council, the only candidate, Shinonome Satsuki proposes that clubs that do not make any activity should be abolished and closed. The Food Research Club Board then asked the student council president in office Yakumo Mori, which suggests to Yuki to propose an alternative candidate to Satsuki. Yuki later decides to offer himself as a candidate for president of the student council, in order to save their club.
